For over four decades, NVS Group has been at the forefront of veterinary wholesale and services, embodying a commitment to innovation and exceptional customer support.
Our journey began in 1989 with the vision of Peter Ashton, a dedicated veterinary pharmaceutical rep who recognized the need for a wholesale business that could offer high-quality products and a reliable, personalised service. NVS would evolve through a series of different owners and acquisitions, but the focus remained on innovation, using the latest technology and pioneering business solutions to transform veterinary wholesaling in the UK.
A sister company to NVS emerged in 2003 - NationWide Laboratories (NWL). Combining the expertise of a number of smaller regional laboratories to offer practices a comprehensive portfolio of testing and diagnostic services, backed by unparalleled customer support. The partnership between NVS and NWL was further strengthened in 2013, when both were acquired by Patterson Companies Inc, and integrated into their UK Veterinary Division.
A commitment to meeting the diverse needs of veterinary practitioners led to the launch of the Select from NVS range in 2015. This line of affordable, high-quality practice consumables has become the preferred choice for many veterinary practices, further solidifying our position as a trusted partner in animal healthcare.
The acquisition of VetIT in 2019 marked another significant milestone in our journey. This industry-leading practice management software solution, born from the same passion for innovation that drives NVS, empowers veterinary professionals to streamline their operations while focusing on what they do best - delivering exceptional animal care.In 2023, we unveiled a new NVS family identity – NVS Group, uniting our four distinct brands into one cohesive family. This integration allows us to offer veterinary practices a truly comprehensive end-to-end service, encompassing wholesale, consumables, laboratory services, and industry-leading practice management software.
The latest chapter in our story is the launch of NVS Logistics in 2024. This specialised division leverages our extensive experience, state-of-the-art temperature-controlled facilities, and strategic position at the heart of the UK distribution network to offer tailored logistical solutions for the wider healthcare market.At NVS Group, we're proud of our heritage and excited about our future.
